Welcome to La Asociación Pro Mejoras de Playa Tamarindo

La Asociacion Pro Mejoras de Playa Tamarindo is a non-government, non-profit, community development organization. The Asociacion came into being when a group of concerned citizens realized that independent overdevelopment might give rise to unwelcome results. Rather than take advantage of the lack of regulations, they chose to take responsibility for their community. Businesses, residents and visitors have enjoyed the benefits ever since.

We have found that, by collaborating with one another, we can bring about change that would not otherwise be possible. We work together to develop long-range plans designed to protect and improve both the physical and social environments of Tamarindo.

Our community has inevitably grown during the last years taking giant steps in its urban development and with greater needs that require a planned decision-making but with immediate action. This is why, due to the actual and upcoming projects that Pro Mejoras Playa Tamarindo, who believes in responsible development, is aware of the communication needed between projects created for our community and its members, since without a doubt the APMT belongs to the community and works for it.
